I am going on vos in sep 08 I am going to be paying my seapass account with us dollars

 

Does RCI still need our credit card and if so do they freeze any money in your account or do they just take the deatils incase you dont pay the balance.

I would do a cash account. by doing this you give them X amount of $ at the start of your cruise and once you reach your balance you go add more. by doing this you can't over spend and you'll have no bill to worry about at the end.

If you intend to pay your SeaPass account with cash and not a credit card, you need to give them a certain amount of cash when you board.

 

You fill out your Set Sail Pass online and indicate "cash" for payment. Then when you board, you go to the Purser's Desk (Guest Relations Desk) and give them, I think, a minimum of $200.

 

If there is any left at the end of the cruise, they give it back to you. If, during the cruise, you get close to using it up, they call you down to the desk.

Nope. A lot of people use cash because they don't *have* a credit card. No one can penalize you for not having a credit card! :)
