mad4rda Posted August 2, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 2, 2008 Hi I was wondering if someone could help answer a question for me. I'm sailing on the VOS on 11/08 from Barcelona on a 7nt Med cruise and would just like to know what currency you would use to tip on board the ship. I will, of course, be taking Euros for onshore trips but if I was to have room service, etc, onboard should I have US$ or € for the tips? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks Kazza :)

The Big Booper Posted August 2, 2008 #3 Share Posted August 2, 2008 We were on the Brilliance Sept 2007. The dollar was used throughout the ship
operafan Posted August 3, 2008 #4 Share Posted August 3, 2008 We ask which they'd prefer. If they're staying in the med for awhile they prefer euros especially with the lousy exchange rate. Last November we were on Voyager a couple of weeks before the transatlantic and they said either was fine.
mad4rda Posted August 3, 2008 Author #5 Share Posted August 3, 2008 Thank you! I'll probably take a mix of Dollars and Euros for the trip. Better to be safe than sorry!!! Kazza
