Sailing on Infinity October 19, 2008 celebrating our 29th Anniversary and have booked one of the Royal suites #6133. Has anybody stayed in one of these suites, any pictures? How is the buttler service?

A few years ago we had a Royal Suite on the Constellation during a repositioning cruise from Puerto Rico to NJ and thought the experience was wonderful. The ships are similar and we have been on the Infinity [Alaska].

Upon entering the suite, there is a dining room with bar and refrigerator. The butler set the table each evening with fresh linens so that we could enjoy breakfast ensuite each morning. It was so nice to be SERVED breakfast, rather than have a tray delivered and left for us as has been the case on other lines with butler service. In the afternoon, the butler stopped by with a cart of appetizers and treats from which we could select what we wanted.

Beyond the dining area were two large sofas & huge coffee table with a large bowl of fresh fruit [linen napkins, plates & cutlery, too] , coffee table, TV, storage areas, computer desk and slider onto the deck. The deck had a table with seating for four, two lounge chairs and a mini hot tub. The bathroom had a large marble counter area, spa tub and a separate shower. My only complaint was the lack of safety bar on the shower. Between the bath room and bedroom was a walk-in closet with lots of open shelves. The bedroom had a TV, storage, lighted vanity [took a while to find the lighting for the vanity as it's hidden], electric window shade over the port hole window beside the bed, and sliders onto the deck.

We have had Celebrity butlers on other cruises and have always had great service, often without asking. When we did the Baltics, our butler knew what tours we were on, and when they would return to the ship. As we approached out suite after a tour, our butler appeared and opened the door for us, then promply showed up with a pot of hot tea and snack for my mother who was traveling with us. Mom was diabetic and our butler understood her needs.

Although we have often had suites on our cruises, we still prefer to dine in more public areas, so we did not order any dinners ensuite.

If you check the Celebrity web site or google royal suite, you should be able to find pictures. The only ones I have are in a photo album.
