Best way Valparaiso to Santiago

We will be ending a cruise on Star Princess at Valparaiso 2nd Feb 2009.

We want to spend a night in Santiago before catching a flight back to England on the evening of the 3rd.

There will be 4 ofus.

What is the best method of transport from the docks to downtown Santiago
