Dining room question

Recommended Posts

I have been looking at the HAL web site and trying to guess at my chances of have my dining preference granted (early fixed), Is fixed dining held in the upper or lower dining room? Also if the dining room is open for lunch on day of embarkation, is it usually upper or lower? I'm not really a go with the flow type of person. I try to plan everything.

Thanks

R and S class -- have never known them to be open for lunch on embarkation day.

Vista class -- most are open for lunch on embarkation day - lower level -- Noon - 1 PM -- just go and check right away once you are on the ship.

Fixed Dinner is always on the Upper Level of all the ships.

We booked a September sailing in early July and were placed in the open seating. We requested late fixed and were given it immediately.

Perhaps it is early fixed which fills quickly; if this is true I would imagine your best chance to get your preference would be to book very early.

Regards
