COLLEYBERRY Posted August 18, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 18, 2008 I hope I don't appear too foolish ,but I can't seem to find the Tamarind on the Eurodam deckplans. I have made reservations for two evenings on our upcoming cruise,I have seen Rev. Neals' wonderful photos ,I've drooled over the menu,I just can't seem to find the restaurant:o
mmcruise Posted August 18, 2008 #2 Share Posted August 18, 2008 Forward - behind the volleyball and basketball courts. Scroll down - it's only a partial deck and there's a partial deck in the back too.

Typhoon1 Posted August 18, 2008 #4 Share Posted August 18, 2008 I hope I don't appear too foolish , There are no foolish questions on CruiseCritic. If that were the case, then we would all be fools.

Krazy Kruizers Posted August 19, 2008 #6 Share Posted August 19, 2008 Actually it is NOT forward. It is just about Midships -- and be reached by using the middle elevators (not the glass ones) to get to the Observation Deck.
Mary Ellen Posted August 19, 2008 #7 Share Posted August 19, 2008 It is just about Midships -- and be reached by using the middle elevators (not the glass ones) to get to the Observation Deck.Yes, it is certainly midships. One needs to use any of the midships elevators (or stairs) ;) to reach Tamarind and/or the Silk Den. We actually found the glass elevators to be the quickest. The 'normal' elevators in the mid-ships elevator lobby took forever and a day to respond.
COLLEYBERRY Posted August 19, 2008 Author #8 Share Posted August 19, 2008 Thanks all, I've charted my course ,I now know how to get from our aft cabin to the Tamarind.:)
mmcruise Posted August 19, 2008 #9 Share Posted August 19, 2008 Of course... I did know you take the mid-ship elevator. What I meant was that the restaurant is toward the bottom of the deck plan (which I think is the front of the ship?). That part of the deck plan is confusing because you see part of the deck and if you don't scroll down, you don't see the rest. Good luck and enjoy! We will enjoy Tamarind in just 11 days and can't wait.
COLLEYBERRY Posted August 19, 2008 Author #10 Share Posted August 19, 2008 I never would have found it if it hadn't been for you. Clearly I am a bit computer challenged .Thanks again:) The Tamarind sure sounds as if it is a wonderful success,we are looking forward to it as well. cf_chuck Posted August 19, 2008 #11 Share Posted August 19, 2008 ...but apparently there are dumb answers. The Tamarind on Josiah's Bay on the north-east side of the island of Tortola (meaning turtle dove or 'love birds' in Spanish), the largest of the British Virgin Islands. Josiah's Bay boasts one of the loveliest and perhaps best surfing beaches on the island.:D
