And I believe what I have to say is more factual than gossip. I now have it from two separate, reliable sources that Vantage is chartering out the River Navigator for 2009. This impacts those sailing on already-scheduled 2009 Navigator cruises. Vantage will be calling affected passengers in sequence ... those sailing sooner will be called before those sailing later. The last sailing in 2008 is the December 11 sailing. The Dec 2 and Dec 11 sailings will sail as scheduled ... as least as of now. This information comes from sources inside and outside of Vantage itself. It is meant to assist any passengers booked for 2009, who may wish to be proactive and contact Vantage instead of waiting to be contacted. I'd like to insert that my personal opinion is that Vantage's customer service could sure use an overhaul....we are really disappointed in the service we've had so far, and hope that the cruise exceeds this level... Ocala Posted August 20, 2008 #2 Share Posted August 20, 2008 We noticed some time ago with the Vantage mailings that Navigator is not scheduled for any sailings in 2009. Perhaps some did book before it disappeared from the 2009 sailings, I don't know. We noticed its disappearance on the first publication of the 2009 schedule. Maybe it was listed elsewhere. There is certainly lots of time to reschedule if that is the case. We're on the November Navigator trip and we're going! Sgt Pepper Posted August 21, 2008 #3 Share Posted August 21, 2008 I am scheduled to take the Danube to the Black Sea Tour in September and was concerned with some of the emails pertaining to last minute cancellations and all about their 2009 schedule. I contacted Vantage yesterday and their reply is posted below. Thank You for contacting us via email. It was a business decision made to reallocate our inventory for 2009.
