Transfers Nuremberg to Munich airport

Hi

 

I am trying to book my first ever river cruise from Budapest to Nuremberg a Holiday market cruise (i'm a big kid)

 

can anyone tell me how easy it is to transfer from Nuremberg where the cruise ends to Munich airport and if they have any recommendations for car transfers companies etc

 

also is Munich the nearest main airport? i know that there is an airport at Nuremberg but no direct flights to London that i can find

 

i have an option on Amadeus river cruises i believe they are ok?

Air Berlin (http://www.airberlin.com) has direct flights from Nuernberg to Stanstead that I've used many times. I see transfer companies advertised in the newspaper, but have not used any of them. Munich is the nearest large airport with Frankfurt being a little farther away.

Depending on how much time that you have, you can always take the train. The time between Nuremburg and Munich is about 1 1/2 hours. From the Muenchen Hofbahnof (main train station) to the airport on the local line is another 20 minutes. You would have to transfer your bags once.
