Yvonne Posted August 21, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 21, 2008 Has anyone else had problems with their certified vacation planner not answering their e-mails? I booked my upcoming 10/26 cruise by calling Royal Caribbean directly, and spoke with Simon Singletary. He e-mailed me a confirmation of my booking and said if I had any questions to e-mail him. I made my final payment a couple weeks ago, and e-mailed Simon with some questions, twice. He has not answered either one and it's been more than a week. It's a little frustrating and I just wondered if anyone else has had problems not getting their e-mails answered.
rummenroman Posted August 21, 2008 #2 Share Posted August 21, 2008 Im sure answering e-mails is along the same lines as answer phones in a call center, the people dont stick around. The reason could be he doesn't work there anymore. Or maybe he is on vacation, or just on his days off....that or he could be a lazy son of a gun and not wanna answer. You can more then free to pick any which ones of the above and use it in your case!
Georgiagolfer Posted August 21, 2008 #3 Share Posted August 21, 2008 Never had that problem, but if I did I would call the toll free number, ask for them, and if they are not available ask to speak to a supervisor.
DivineDivia Posted August 21, 2008 #4 Share Posted August 21, 2008 I have had a problem with that. I ended up calling the C&A number to get my questions answered.

Yvonne Posted August 21, 2008 Author #6 Share Posted August 21, 2008 we always book everything ourselves and dont use a TA or Vacation Specialist ( who arent so special in my opinion ) If you have a question then, who do you go to and ask? I called Royal Caribbean's phone number and booked my cruise that way, did not go through a travel agent. Simon Singletary, the guy I spoke with, e-mailed me a confirmation of my cruise deposit, and at the bottom it included his e-mail address and it said if I had any questions I should e-mail him so that is what I did, twice, and both have been ignored. Someone said he might not even be there any longer, but if that were the case I think my e-mails would come back as undeliverable, wouldn't they? I can understand not getting an answer for a day or even two or three, but two weeks? Not so much.

It doesn't have to be the one with whom you booked.
