wckdtrix Posted August 25, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 25, 2008 Please help...I am thinking of going on another cruise this winter. I am just wondering which cruiselines still allow smoking in the staterooms (or still will this winter, I should say). Thanks for any help I can get.:)

wckdtrix Posted August 25, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted August 25, 2008 Not RCCL or Celebrity. Yep, I know that...that is why I am looking for another line to cruise. As you can see from my signature, in the past , those are the only two lines I have been on.

eandj Posted August 26, 2008 #8 Share Posted August 26, 2008 Just know that the rules can change before sailing date and you will need to follow them. Celebrity and Azamara lost early bookings because the smokers chose to cancel due to the restrictions. So just keep an eye on the cruiselines regulations, as it is not grandfathered in. Yeah, I was getting ready to book a Celebrity Cruise back when they announced their new smoking policies...I was about to book my flights and the cruise when it was announced...so, we quickly changed our minds on a Celebrity Cruise. Fortunately I found out before I made flight arrangements and hotel prestay reservations and cruise reservations. Just doing research now on what cruiseline we would like to choose to sail on next. I am sure we will have a great time on whatever line we choose.
Wylie Coyote Posted September 1, 2008 #10 Share Posted September 1, 2008 From my last cruise, I know that NCL still allows smoking in the cabin - but there is a notice that they discourage smoking in bed!!!. The people in the balcony cabin upship from our balcony cabin smoked ALOT. And, yes, the smoke trailed down and into our cabin. Not too mention the many, many glowing cig butts in the night that we could see flung into the ocean! JackieH Posted September 1, 2008 #11 Share Posted September 1, 2008 All I can say is that we were just on RCCL...and although I know it is no smoking in the cabins...WE smelled smoked on a daily basis while walking though the halls:rolleyes: ...apparently people don';t think they need to follow rules and signs.
