Seatrek scuba diving??

First, hello everyone, this is my first post on cruisecritic board. My husband and I are considering the Mariner of the Seas. We were wondering if anyone has ever done the Seatrek scuba diving onboard and what your opinions are. We are not certified but have done a resort course at Sandal's in Jamaica just to get our feet wet. We really enjoyed it!!!! So if anyone has any info or opinions it would be greatly appreciated!

When are you sailing? If you have time, I would do your scuba work beforehand through your local dive shop and get certified before you sail since you'll get better instruction, and have more time to relax and enjoy the ship.

The other option is to do the classroom and pool work at home and get a referral and just do your certification dives while on the cruise. RCCL does offer this. This way you don't waste a lot of time on your cruise in class
