We are a couple of Italians just back from MSC Musica.

It was our 7th cruise after cruising with Carnival and RCCL. This summer we had 2 cruise: first RCCL Navigator from Civitavecchia, then Musica from Bari.

More or less the same money but for Musica the money was "lost": it was as to compare a 3 stars (Musica) vs. a 5 stars hotel (RCCL) at the SAME PRICE!!!!

Neither of us nor the other people we spoke to enjoyed this cruiseline.

Food:

The food was absolutely dreadful.

Buffet available only for lunch with the same same same same things; many cold dishes (salads made in different ways) and few hot opportunities. The grill (!?!?!) was just hot dogs, hamburgers and some turkey.

For dinner just main restaurant available with poor poor quality; for the first time in my life I spent the whole holiday eating pasta; other dishes were !??&%%!....

Water: they tried to force to buy mineral bottled water saying that the water was not good...we asked them why it was so on Musica while we always drinked ship water in the other...no answer... i suppose it was to force to buy mineral water.

No lemonade, cold tea available as on the other ships.

Embarkation- confusion....no respect of lines obtained by MSC personnell...

Pool-

Awful: Pool rules are not enforced ie. no jumping or diving. way too many kids in there. Jacuzzi/hot tube or other facilities full of kids the whole time.

Cabin:

We had an inside cabin. It was okay and very clean even if smaller that the same in the other cruises.

Staff:

Good cabin steward and restaurant people (even if in line with the quality of the restaurant).

Bad answer from reception or excursion people in case of any deviance from the ordinary.

Entertainment:

Not great: so many nice lounges without opportunities to enjoy with some music or other.

Disco:

Terrible music, catering to young teens...after midnight anly teens inside even if the rule should have been the opposite...

Safety Drill:

90% of people swiming, eating, drinking while 10% performind safety drill in muster stations...the week before we delayed with RCCL Navigator the departure because staff obliged all the hosts to partecipate as required.

Another message of poor quality according to me.

Ports:

All were beautiful. A good point.

Excursions activities:

Terrible staff: we booked Corinthos Channel excursioni in Athens but only the night before the arrival in Athens we understood it was calcelled. The forgot to communicate us this cancellation....

In some cases transfers to the beaches were a joke: no assistance or chairs/umbrellas available even in included in the tickets...many people asking for refunds..

In Katakolion a very long wainting at the pier for tendering: one hour waiting under the sun.

Security

Some problems for stealing....

Overall:

Skip it.
