tisha62569 Posted October 24, 2004 #1 Share Posted October 24, 2004 Has anyone ever taken an ATV or Dune Buggy tour in Cozumel? We were thinking of doing it with our two sons ages 8 and 11. Do you think they are old enough to go? Also, if we use the Dune Buggy, does it seat 4 people. What about the roughness of the road....I have back problems (not bad), is it really rough? What company did you use (website?)? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
BK300 Posted November 29, 2004 #2 Share Posted November 29, 2004 Just back and did the dune buggy tour offered on ship. We had four in our party. We really liked it alot. Yes, it does seat 4 and yes the children can go. No, it is not a rough ride like the 4X4's can be. Did snorkeling, had good mexican lunch at beach, and toured around the island. Go for it! ;)
richtersl Posted November 29, 2004 #3 Share Posted November 29, 2004 Just did a jeep tour with Aventuras Naturales and have photos of the tour that we took here: http://www.lrichters.photosite.com/NovCruise/cozumel/ We didn't encounter any folks on dune buggies but did encounter two tour groups on ATVs. Did notice kids on the ATVs with their parents. The road surface ranges from relatively hard packed sand to soft, deep sand to rocks. It places it's a pretty bumpy ride. But the bumps don't cover a large area. Only you know what your back can tolerate. The scenery and wildlife you encounter is just wonderful on this tour. H2Olvrs Posted November 29, 2004 #4 Share Posted November 29, 2004 Linda, Thank you for sharing your photos. We'll be stopping in the same ports on the Sun in late March. We too thought about the dune buggy with our two girls and it sounds like a good match for us. Thanks for sharing!
