gtmerc Posted October 24, 2004 #1 Share Posted October 24, 2004 Going on Star next May. There flights are $530 from Cleveland. I can get flight for $358 on my own. It would leave at 12:40 with the ship getting in port at 7:00. If we were one of the first groups off ship, do you think this enough time? Would also be using cab to get to airport. elmtree Posted October 24, 2004 #2 Share Posted October 24, 2004 I juat asked a simular question about flights..We are flying out of Pittsburgh in May for the Princess Diamond cruise and the latest flight out of Seattle for us was 12:00. Everyone on this board seemed to think we would be good if we went to the desk on the ship and asked for early tickets to get off the ship. They said to bring the airline tickets in case they asked to see them and then to get a taxi to the airport..Our ship also gets in port at 7am..By the way, we are getting prices from Pittsburgh to Seattle for 292.00..we also live in Ohio, but we just drive to the airport in Pittsburgh to save the added money...works our well for us.. Budget Queen Posted November 1, 2004 #3 Share Posted November 1, 2004 If you are sailing Seattle and flying Seattle the flights should be fine. HOWEVER, it will all depend on when the ship clears and having tickets in hand and early disembarkment tags are secondary to this. Definately take a cab directly to your terminal- about $25++. Boo's Mom Posted November 6, 2004 #4 Share Posted November 6, 2004 If we were one of the first groups off ship, do you think this enough time? You should be just fine. Your "early" departure time should automatically put you in one of the first groups off the ship, but do pay attention to the color tags on your luggage...given the last night. As you are preparing to leave the ship, do so with the understanding that you do not really have hours & hours to work with. You will encounter lines at the airport...and possibly for a cab. ps. There is a line for regular cabs and a line for "van" cabs. The van line is shorter. ;)
