Hello rogier21

Can you please tell me how many engine room boy's there are per Seabourn ship? Are there 16 or 18?

Thanks!:p

Martita B.

Uf I cannot really tell you now because I am not onboard at the moment...

Well let's see there is:

1 Chief Engineer

1 Staff Chief engineer

1 First engineer

2 Second Engineers

3 Motorman

1 Chief electrician

2 Second electricians

1 Reefer engineer

The rest I am not certain of...

Many thanks for your reply ~~enjoy your vacation!

The reason I ask is I like to take small gifts to these hard working

fellows ~~I've always said "the engine room boy's are truly the stars of the vessel!" I'm again taking gifts to them in Oct. and I wanted to be certain I have enough items. I send these down by the Chief Engineer. I believe I have enough for 16 ~~

Thanks again!:p

Ok thats very nice of you :)

I believe that 16 should be enough, there must be some Filipino extra's as cleaners running around, be I don't rememer how many really!

Hmm, I think GA recently posted a picture on his website with the whole ER crew...

That one.

I count 17 including Chief Engineer.

On the Pride Crossing last March I usually knew when Dobrin, 1st Officer (from Bulgaria) would take the helm ~~he drove in the evenings and a'round 8:15, during our dinnertime I could feel the Pride "speedin' up" ~~I teased him as to breaking the Atlantic speed limit! He surely sped fast during the evenings.
