Forgive my curiosity...why write the casino?

I received a free photo coupon by just telling them our ship and sailing date. It was in our cabin when we arrived!

I've told them the last 3 cruises and received nothing. My last 3 cruises were on Costa though and I think they are only loosely affiliated with the ocean players club. Hopefully I'll get somehting in December on the Splendor.

If you receive a welcome back gift, great. We always send them an Email with date, ship, booking #, room #, etc. Never received any type gift, but hey, we're on a cruise so no big deal.

They stopped leaving gifts in your cabin awhile back. They used to leave a fruit basket and decorated the cabin. Then they went to the key ring and photo coupon. My last two cruises, we did not receive anything.

Does it matter where you are on the ship? Someone told me if you had an inside room ,they don't give you anything. We had a Jr Suite. We had a fruit basket and canapes. We have gotten something on the last 5 cruises.

On the inspiration in May we got 2 free drinks and a free slot tournament entry after we notified the players club we were going to be on this cruise.

I got a free drink and was greeted very warmly by the casino manager but no wonder since I usually lose a bit of money.

Hmmm. Never thought to notify the casino that I would be returning, but that's a good idea! I always notify the casino hosts at my favorite casinos in Vegas before I visit and always get some sweet perks! My one and only cruise thus far, in January, found me leaving a sizable "donation" in the Valor casino lol.
