Ultra Voyager

I know its a long ways off, but I was wondering if anyone knew what the Ultra Voyager is going to look like. I have read the specs, but a picture is worth a thousand words. Thanks.

When i was on the Radiance last month, they did state that the work order was completed for the UV, but NO specifics were outlined

 

Our captain suggested that there may be a wave pool, water slide.

 

I guess we will have to wait and see

I sailed on the AOS in March 04 and we were told that the Mega Voyager was going to be 15% larger than any other voyager class ship and far longer than the Empire State building. Yes, I too heard that the pools will have a water slide and other unique activities on board. I can't wait to see it. I would love to be on the maiden voyage...but I am sure that will be impossible for me....not enough clout.

I was told on the Voyager last month by the loyalty ambassador that the promenade will have a second bridge fitted for a band to play during the day. Not a big addition but a nice idea I thought.

With two pages of threads coming up for a search on Ultra Voyager, I picked this one to post these renderings. It's been some time since I posted these, but am hoping now that we're half way through 2004 someone might be able to confirm some of the design work. Incidentally, these photos were pulled from the Kvaerner-Masa Yards website and have since been removed from public access. (Does that mean something? Who knows really.)

There must be a limited number of ports where it can fit. I'm hopeing that it will go out of Miami and that one of the Voyager class ships will move to Galveston (closer to me) although I heard that the port of Galveston has to widen their channel a little bit (and is planning to do so) so that a voyager class can turn around there.

It's all about the draught/draft.. how deep she sits in the water, that is a big factor in where she will be able to dock. And of course there has to be enough room for it to turn around. Since she is being built as a cruise ship and not as an ocean liner (like Queen Mary 2), she should not sit much deeper than current Voyager class ships... I imagine that the most popular ports in the Caribbean are going to try and make sure they do what's necessary to take her.

I was on Navigator last week, Ken Rush told us that they were planning a whole karaoke studio, like studio B! Plus there are plans to put a cover on the pool (like they covering the ice in studio B for the Quest) for dance parties on deck!
