Interesting - I thought that Hamilton was going to ditch their dock and put hotels in that area - change in plans?

 

I heard this also. Bermuda said that because of environmental consideration no cruise ship will be docking in Hamilton. The pier will be used for condos, hotels, retail stores.

 

They just completed building another pier in Kings Wharf to replace the Hamilton pier

Wouldn't it be nice to see RCI return to Philly with a 7-day to Bermuda? :)

 

This would be nice BUT, it takes 6-hours of sailing down the Delaware to get to the ocean which means NO gambling no duty free stores, no revenue.

 

With Bayonne so close and less than 1-hour from ocean it (revenue) it would not be a good business decision

According to the Royal Gazette, they are looking forward to having cruise ships back in Hamilton.
