marle7 Posted September 10, 2008 #51 Share Posted September 10, 2008 I'm confused. We are booked on a 14 day cruise in March on the Westerdam, but it can be booked as a B2B as we have friends getting on at Ft. Lauderdale for the second leg. We booked ours as a 14 day, rather than a B2B. Do we still need to go through immigration and get new cards?
sail7seas Posted September 10, 2008 #52 Share Posted September 10, 2008 Maybe. If your last port was not U.S., then you most likely will have to clear Immigration. You may or may not get new ID cards.
Krazy Kruizers Posted September 10, 2008 #53 Share Posted September 10, 2008 :) We are on the Feb. 22 20 day S. Caribbean Nordam cruise and will be in FLL on the turnaround on March 4. We have planned to take a shore excursion from the ship to see FLL sights and have a cruise on the intercoastal waterway. As we have only been to FLL to board and disembark we thought this would be a good way to see some of the sights as none of us are able to drive. If you look at the Shore X listings for FLL you will see these tours which are both associated and unassociated with transfers to the various airports. You can also take a trip to the Everglades.;) Did that tour years ago -- it is great!!! Another time we did the Everglades -- also great!!

Being as you booked it as one cruise -- you should be able to use the same ID cards -- this varies by ship. Yes -- you will still need to go through immigration. We have never excused from that.
