njoy2cruz Posted September 6, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 6, 2008 My family is currently booked on a cruise on the Freedom OTS in cabin 6650. Our family consists of myself, my wife and 2 boys (ages 8 and 12). Has anyone stayed in this cabin before? Is the size similar to the D1 cabins on the Voyager class ships? Since this is right by the hump, what is the balcony like? Is it any larger than the standard balconies?

shancan911 Posted September 19, 2008 #3 Share Posted September 19, 2008 Hi, I don't know if I'll be any help to you or not? We sailed in a D1 on Liberty, DH, DS7, and myself. I was comfortable. But storage wise, it would have been tight with another, and my son is only 7. Many we overpacked? Your boys will undoubtedly be sleeping in the sofa bed? It is big enough, I'd say it's a queen size when open (maybe?) Hopefully, someone who has traveled both classes will jump in as more of a help. Enjoy your cruise! Freedom D1's MUCH bigger & nicer than Voyager class: D1 Freedom is 214 sq ft & 68 sq ft balcony,Voyager D1 188 sq.ft + 50 sq.ft balcony...pretty big difference PLUS Freedom has flat screen TV's.........Freedom my favorite ship...don't forget to sit in the canti-levered hot tubs in the Adult Solarium on a sea DAY,AND hit the Flowrider with the boys and they'll also LOVE the H20 Fun Zone pool area, all this not found on the Voyager class(which we love, but no comparison to Freedom IMO..) cruisecrazyfamily2009 Posted April 2, 2018 #6 Share Posted April 2, 2018 I am booked in this cabin (Freedom of the Seas - 6650) in October. Does anyone have pictures/comments about it? Thanks!!
cb at sea Posted April 2, 2018 #7 Share Posted April 2, 2018 The "hump" cabins do not have larger balconies on Freedom class or Voyager class..within the same category. A "D" cabin NOT on the hump and the"hump" D will be the same size...both balcony and cabin.
