pltag Posted October 26, 2004 #2 Share Posted October 26, 2004 The dining room is smoke free. Smoking is allowed in parts of almost all the bars or lounges, the casino, and inside guest cabins. Smoking is also allowed in open air areas on deck. There is supposed to be a left-side / right-side of the ship system, one being smoke free, but I guess I have never seen this marked or enforced. Hope this helps! :) :)
Tromler Posted October 26, 2004 #3 Share Posted October 26, 2004 From my three prior cruises, yes the main dining room is smokefree.

debandbill Posted October 26, 2004 #7 Share Posted October 26, 2004 Actually saw the head waiter come down on a lady who chose to light up in the dining room. It was not a surprise to us as she was known to our last CC group as pretty eccentric..spent lots of time in the schooner bar...wore big hats all the time and stayed drunk. Got into a fight one night with her hubby right in the dining room...very noticible as they were seated at the base of the grand staircase...and then of course made a scene when she was told not to smoke! The dining room is definitely a no smoking area!
wallie5446 Posted October 26, 2004 #8 Share Posted October 26, 2004 As above, YES.
Alexis Posted October 27, 2004 #9 Share Posted October 27, 2004 I was on that ship with you too and even though we had the early seating and didn't see that spectacle, that was the talk of the dining room on the ship for the whole cruise. As I remember, the crew laughed at her everytime she walked in there because of her "habits". I think they had seen her before. You are right. It is enforced. debandbill Posted October 27, 2004 #10 Share Posted October 27, 2004 Wish you could have seen it...it was one of those nights that no one else sat at our table for dinner (you remember, we had a group of 4 that only showed the first night) and the one other couple at our table for eight was at Chops. So, we had plenty of time to observe....she absolutely kept two waiters and the head waiter spinning for two hours trying to please her, feed her, and keep her from lighting a cigarette (at one point she lost her hat.) Guess what...saw a post from her today...pretty typical response..so nothing has changed. Say hi to Wally for me. Deb
Alexis Posted October 27, 2004 #11 Share Posted October 27, 2004 Yes, I am sorry I missed it too. That must have been quite the entertainment for dinner. Nothing like a free show. Please say "Hi" to Bill for us. I am sending you an email. You should have it in a minute. ;) "Alexis"
