Ship time vs. "local time"

The short answer is...it depends. For Carnival Cruise Lines, it varies, as it's up to each ship's captain and crew to decide whether to follow local time, or stay on the departure port's time. I've experienced both situations. It depends on the time zone of your departure port and if you ship stays on that time zone or if they change to local time. Every ship I have been on stayed on the departure port time.

 

 

sorry, out of tampa and our stops are in grand cayman and Cozumel, I will need to look at a map....
