Courtyard by Marriott Miramar?

I have read some good reviews of this on Trip Advisor. Some mentioned it was close to the cruise pier. I thought the Miramar area was next to Condado area, thus not that close to the Pam American pier which is where our ship docks. Does anyone know how far and/or taxi rate to Pam AM? And can anyone comment on the hotel itself?

WE stayed there a couple of years ago. It's a nice hotel - at the time it was new, and the rooms were very nice, the staff great, and there was a free internet access computer on the first floor (we don't carry a computer when we travel). It was reasonably priced. It was about a 10 minute taxi ride to the Pan Am Pier. However, it's in a business area - not really close to the Condado. It's a taxi ride to OSJ, to the pier, or to the Condado. And when we were there it was over a holiday, and most everything around us was closed, anyhow. Wouldn't stay there again only because of the location.

We stayed there last week before our cruise on Sunday. Room was nice and decent rate, but the check in and out was horrible! Took us over an hour to check out on Sunday. Regarding location, it was a $15 cab ride to the pier on Sunday, and about that same price to get to Old San Juan. Next time, we'll probably stay in OSJ.
