Xcaret Excursion

I am going on the Nov 15 Carnival Glory cruise and this is an excursion I am intersted in. Was just wondering with this excursion how independent are you? Is there a guide with you, are you in a group? Or are you on your own. If you are on your own is it hard to get around? Was also concerned about getting back to the ship if it is an independent excursion. Does the excursion come with transfers to and from the ship? Don't want to get stuck and left behind :) I would be booking this through Carnival's website.

 

Also I would love to take my video camera with me to takes some video. It is a beautiful place. However is there a locker to put it in or something when you are in the water?
