Isidoro Posted September 12, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 12, 2008 According to deck plans, cabins 4002 and 4004 are just below the dance floor, stage, lounge, casino, Martini's (smaller bar?), shops and also, being so far up front, associated with some complaints related to anchor and thrusters noise and vibration. What is a guy who is not so young anymore, does not drink late into the night, has some trouble falling asleep and who is easily woken up by noise, to do with one of these cabins for two weeks, even understanding that they would be primarily used for sleep and rest? Druke I Posted September 12, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 12, 2008 Well, if you absolutely feel you have to go, and you can't get a better located cabin, I suggest a good set of ear plugs and effective sleeping tablets. I personally would pass, and look for a different cruise.
Rare LHT28 Posted September 12, 2008 #3 Share Posted September 12, 2008 The shows are usually finished before 11 pm I would ask to see if there are any cabins further back if you think this will bother you. Lyn
StanandJim Posted September 13, 2008 #4 Share Posted September 13, 2008 Isodoro- We were in 6002 (which is EXACTLY above the stage of the main lounge) in July of '07, and the only thing that we ever heard was some reverb from the electric base guitars that the Orchestra uses. It usually started while we dressed for dinner and was over by the time we got back to the room after dinner. The shows on O are sedate, honestly. Now, those anchor noises are a different thing, however, as loud as they are, they happen at times when most of us had to get up anyway. Those ports wont tour themselves!
