Comfort Inn, San Juan

I was wondering if anyone has stayed at the Comfort Inn on Clemenceau St.? Wanted to know what you thoughts of it are, and if it's good for a one night stay before going on the RC AOS... We are flying in the day before and thought this to be a very affordable hotel.. Am I right??? :)

We stayed there last Feb. 2 nights and while the rooms were small and elevator small and creaky, it was adequate and more affordable than most hotels in San Juan. We are staying again 2 nights this Jan.

We stayed there for two days before we sailed on the AOS. It was clean and okay for the most part. We changed our res for the two days after the sail to the Holiday Inn Express. They are next to each other in Condado. The HI was much nicer, bigger rooms and newer for about the same cost. I would recommend you look at the Holiday Inn Express instead.

Stayed one night pre-cruise. Wouldn't recommend, even though $ was right. Rooms VERY small - hardly room to put suitcases. Problem with room key several times. Very damp rooms. Area was fine. Would try HI Express next time.

Can you let me know if it has improved at all if you are staying there in Jan/09..
