Horseback riding on Playa del Carmen

I've been doing some research and we've decided we want to do a horseback riding excursion during our stop in Cozumel. I've read about a few tours on the internet and on another cruise forum. We want to book outside the cruise line, so now I'm trying to decide which tour we want to take. Playa del Carmen looks nice and we don't mind the ferry over to the mainland.

 

The tour through cozumelcruiseexcursions.com looks really nice. Similar to Randi's in Mazatlan with the jungle and beach and a stop after for lunch/drinks. Has anyone done this tour before? What did you think? Were the horses happy and healthy?

 

Any input would be appreciated!
