Travel time between towns

Get a copy of THE MILEPOST, will have exact milage, if you are talking about interior Alaska??

As a ball park, allow 5-6 hours with stops Anchorage/Denali Park, 3 hours Anchorage/Seward, 8 hours Anchorage/Fairbanks, 4 hours Anchorage/Homer.

Most all can be done in less, but don't plan on too tight timeframes, especially if booking tours. Construction, RV's accidents, interesting stops, all add to time necessary. Better to add a cushion in my opinion.

I always allow an hour for every 50 miles. That way I'm not rushed (I don't drive that slowly, but traffic, road construction, coffee/bathroom breaks, weather, etc can really slow you down here). As a visitor, I would allow more time on the longer drives to stop for scenery, wildlife, etc.
