earnied Posted September 18, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 18, 2008 We were on the CB last year on Riviera deck aft and were able to walk right out of the hallway door to the aft pool area. We're booking on Ruby next year and are looking at Aloha deck aft rooms but would like to know if there is any direct access to the aft pool area,,, or would we have to go up one deck to Riviera deck to get to the aft pool area ? earnied
-Lew- Posted September 19, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 19, 2008 From the deck plan it looks like you'll need to take the elevator or stairs near the elevator up one level to get to the pool. There are no stairways, other than for an emergency, at the stern. Lew
Sox Fan Cruiser Posted September 19, 2008 #3 Share Posted September 19, 2008 Hey earnid, Contact me after my cruise in December and I'll check it out for sure. It was that way on the CB which is supposed to be built close to the Ruby but the back is where they are different. I'll let you know.
DanJ Posted September 19, 2008 #4 Share Posted September 19, 2008 The only thing different at the stern of the Ruby compared to the CB are the aft balconies on Riviera deck, which are portholes on CB and Crown and windows on Emerald. You'll have to either go up one deck to Riviera, or up 2 decks to Lido via the aft stairs/elevators, and walk back from there.
earnied Posted September 19, 2008 Author #5 Share Posted September 19, 2008 That's what I expected,,, looks like we will stick with the Riviera deck,,, for a few extra bucks it's nice to be able to walk directly out the back into the aft pool area... earnied
