tvaud Posted September 20, 2008 #3 Share Posted September 20, 2008 hi we are on the oct 21st sailing of emerald can anyone tell me and all of us sailing who the enterainmentis? what is the name of the band in the lounge to dance to and what kind of music do they play has anyone gone to the disco and what is it like wht is the difference between club fusion and the disco how is the food - was there lobster tails in the main dining room? what is the difference in the 2 pools area? sorry for al the questions -just getting excited thanks carol Hi Carol, You should have asked this on our roll call. Enough of us there could have answered most of your questions. As for the entertainment....it changes and may change before we get on board. Since ours will be the first of the upcoming Caribbean season, they may have a completely new set of entertainers that are from the US. We will have to see. There is usually a band in the Windjammer that plays covers of popular songs that you can dance to. We stopped in one night and saw many couples having a great time on the dance floor. Club Fusion is a large venue that holds many activities, such as Bingo, wooden horse races, dance lessons, Pop Idol, different games, evening themed nights...to name a few. The disco is called Skywalkers and is several decks above Club Fusion. It is open later in the evening for dancing, drinking and hanging out. There is a great view from up there as well. The DJ plays dance music and takes requests. You may also see a few officers up there. Depending on the cruise, it can either be hopping up there or deader than a door nail. LOL Food is subjective, but no doubt, you won't go hungry. Yes, there is lobster in the dining rooms. It is usually served one of the formal evenings. Some report that they only give you one for dinner(along with shrimp), but you can ask your waiter to supply more...and they love doing that. Our experience is that they bring another tray, just of lobster tails for our table. Just ask.:) 2 pool areas?? There are 4 pools, if you don't count the kids pool, on the Emerald. Starting forward, there is the Lotus Spa Pool with the "swim against the current" feature...and it's adults only. The next pool, Neptune, is on the Lido Deck and is centrally located. It features music from a live band. That pool is large and deep and is open to all ages. A few steps away, the Calypso Pool has MUTS and tends to attract families. The aft Terrace Pool is smaller and square and also adults only. It has a great view too. The Outrigger Bar is just above the pool area. All of the pools on the Emerald are fresh water. I hope that helps. By the way, I'm excited too!:D
