rubybc62 Posted September 22, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 22, 2008 I'll be travelling alone and will need to get from the Miami airport to the port. Is it better/cheaper to take a taxi or shuttle-type van? Also, I noticed that NCL has a transfer transportation. I have not checked into that yet. Is that a good option or would I have to wait around for their shuttle? Thanks.
megr1125 Posted September 22, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 22, 2008 you'll have to wait for both the cruise shuttle, and most likely, a super-shuttle type thing to fill up.. fastest...most convenient way is cab. i cabbed it myself a couple places in miami with no trouble... Robert6260 Posted September 23, 2008 #3 Share Posted September 23, 2008 I would take a taxi. It is the easiest and most convenient. I only take the cruise ship shuttle if going from Port of Miami to Fort Lauderdale or Port Canveral to Orlando. All other cruise ports I take a taxi. eandj Posted September 23, 2008 #4 Share Posted September 23, 2008 Depending on when you arrive, there will be other people in line for a cab to the port. If you want, you can always ask a couple to split the cab with you. Easy to do 3 in a cab with luggage. Would cost you less than any shuttle. For sure, even if alone, take the cab for the $25 or so and head right to the port with no waiting around. After the cruise, team up with another couple going back to the airport. There will be lots of people willing to share then for sure.
