SeaSeaCritic Posted September 23, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 23, 2008 We're looking at a Jewel cruise and are torn between two D1 cabins. Anyone one have any opinions about either? 1102 is an aft cabin and 9092 is on the first cabin rear of hump elevators. Thanks.
2DisneyCruzrs Posted September 23, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 23, 2008 Not sure about 1102 but have stayed in Jewel 9092. It's nice having the extra long deck and lounge chair. It was not noisy even though next to the elevators. Enjoyed the convenience of mid-ship. I had my parents' TA book them in the cabin when I saw it was available for their cruise. cb at sea Posted September 23, 2008 #3 Share Posted September 23, 2008 It will be easier to go up 2 flights of stairs to the pool, than a loooooong walk down the hallway from the aft, and THEN up a flight!
mpbmark Posted September 23, 2008 #4 Share Posted September 23, 2008 The potential problem with 1102 is that you are under the Windjammer cafe. On a warm weather cruise, people will be out there all day and night moving chairs around. If you are easily annoyed by the sound of scrapping chairs and tables, this is not the cabin for you. Also, loud conversations from the cafe will be heard on your balcony while you are outside and possibly in your cabin if the balcony door is open.
