Will it be enough time at Atlantis

I am starting to wonder if a day at Atlantis is going to be worth it. To begin: we will dock in Nassau at noon, I have a room reserved at the comfort suites so we can get the wristbands to spend the day at Atlantis. I'm starting to wonder if we will have enough time to make it worth the money since I have been reading the water park closes at 5pm.

Is there much to do and see after 5?

Has anyone docked at noon and spent the day...if so...would you recommend it.

Thanks!

The questions I think of, how many in your party? If they fast movers such as teens, you have enough time. If they are younger kids and need a lot of attention, maybe not. When does your ship depart from port? If latter, you can walk around, go to the Dig, etc. after the pools close.

Thanks for the reply. It will be me, DH and 11 year old son so we should be able to move quickly. The ship docks at noon and doesn't leave until 6 the next morning. I plan on checking in/out of CS at the same time so I don't have to check out later.

I think 5 hours at the waterpark is enough time as long as you move quickly. You can always check out the aquarium they have at Atlantis too. I was there in March and I really enjoyed my quick trip to the resort. I only has a couple hours in port too and I had plenty of time to enjoy everything. Atlantis is not to be missed!

There are many who feel that Atlantis is a waste period... and many others who feel it is the best thing in Nassau. Both are right depending on what you want.

The slides do not open until 10ish and so getting there around 1 pm should be fine since you can stay til closing. I noticed you said you were not going to actually take the room. If you don't leave til 6 the next morning I would hold onto the room and take showers/change clothes/wander back over to Atlantis and see the "digs". If the adults want to go to the casino you have a room for the child to watch tv for a short while (assuming they can be left alone). Take full advantage of your paid for room. I bet it's bigger than you cabin!

We booked a room at the Atlantis so we could use the pools and slides last year during our Disney cruise. My husband and my children and I did the pools for about 4 hours and then we had enough. I think you'll be fine. Stay on the slides until they tell you they're closed. You can always view the aquariums afterward. You're going to love your day there. We'll be going back to Atlantis on our next cruise in February. :D
