Horseback or Horsey Ride

Has anyone done the horseback riding in Costa Maya? Can you loop the horses? Do they do a beach-ocean thing? What condition are they in? My kids ride often, I don't want them to be too board. I guess they want to tell thier friends they rode in the ocean.
