Captain Giovanni Gallo

Does anyone know if Captain Giovanni Gallo is still with Carnival today or where he is? I remember back in the fall of 1994, Captain Gallo brought Fascination across the Atlantic and I was told he was Carnival's Top Captain...number one...and a young superstar while only in his mid 40s.

 

I was also told that since he was Carnival's superstar captain, he had the honor of assuming command of all of their new ships which is why a year later he had left Fascination for another new Carnival ship.

The last I heard, and this was a while ago, he was master of the Triumph...

He was the Captain on the Triumph in January but not sure if he is still on it

I was on Triumph in Nov and the Capt was Sal Messina

Sounds like a question for John Heald - I know he has mentioned Captain Giovanni Gallo in his blog several times.

Well when Fascination was put into service I believe he was their youngest captain and well as their top captain and therefore was given command of their new ships...was just curious if he was still with them and still number 1?
