Jerry, I never was a HUGE Carnival fan, however, followed friends on their trips ... now I have a group going on the Splendour. I have always liked RCI. Carnival is good for the price and similar in a lot of respects.

i agree with vballmom... is it that important? besides whenever you call RCI they are always really helpful. the worst that could happen is that they say that they don't know. they won't yell at you or tell you never to call again, so you should just pick up the phone and call them if you are really that curious...

besides, how do you know that a group has booked it? the trip is in the middle of june right whne most schools let out... maybe its just booked by small families going and not necessarily a big group...

I'm on Splendour a few weeks before you, also on a sold out cruise. There is ONE person signed up for Meet & Mingle (me). Leads me to believe that RCCL is pushing these Med cruises in England and other European countries. Maybe many of the passengers are European as we see very little talk about these cruises on this board (which is primarily US members if you look at member's addresses). Will be interesting to meet some European cruisers and get their reaction to an "American" cruise line.

Moondawgie - not sure why you think the cruise is sold out. I just checked an online agency and they show plenty of cabins available.
