Nassau - what's the best thing to see with a toddler in a few hours? (no excursions)

we are leaving on the Disney Wonder very soon! my DH will be attending a business conference onboard, which means he will not be able to leave the ship before about 1:00 pm. So we have very limited time in port and will be taking our 20-month old in the stroller with us too.

So we won't be doing any excursions and are wondering what we can/should cram into this bit of time. I think we'll have about 4 hours to sightsee. He loves history & I love beautiful architecture... and we all love touristy shops & cafes. any suggestions for us?

thanks!

Whatever you do, don't do it for the baby! He/ she won't know what's going on, anyway! Do what YOU want to do!

You can take a taxi to Atlantis, and shop in the shops, eat in the restaurants, gamble in the casino....without paying for any kind of "tour". It's a beautiful hotel...you just won't be able to access the beach/pool area, unless you pay for the privelege.

Or, just stroll through the "straw market" area---lots of shops and what-not to keep you busy for awhile!

Then, head back to the ship, where most of the crowds will be absent--making that ship feel like your own, private yacht!
