Weekly sales event and upgrading cabin question

I know that on those weekly Tuesday sales, the price list states that prices are for new bookings only. However, I am wondering if Royal Caribbean will honor the price on an upgrade from an inside to a balcony if the upgrade price is at a higher price than your original booking price? Has anyone had any experience in this area?

You can try, but odds are they'll tell you that those prices are still for new bookings only, even if you want to give them more money.
