Best Hotel Location Advice

Thanks to the good advice of the cruise critics I have decided to go

with Priceline and take my chances but it does ask me to select a location and I was wondering which location would be the nicest and closest proximity to the port and airport as well as some good restaurants

and maybe the beach and shopping.

From a previous thread, I believe the OP is looking for a Fort Lauderdale room.

If you are looking for the 17th Street Causeway area, that would be "downtown". Of the 3* hotels, Embassy Suites gets wonderful reviews on these boards, and I've personally stayed at Hyatt Place and found it great.
