Best Hotel Location Advice

Thanks to the good advice of the cruise critics I have decided to go

with Priceline and take my chances but it does ask me to select a location and I was wondering which location would be the nicest and closest proximity to the port and airport as well as some good restaurants

and maybe the beach and shopping.

If you are looking for the 17th Street Causeway area, that would be "downtown". Of the 3* hotels, Embassy Suites gets wonderful reviews on these boards, and I've personally stayed at Hyatt Place and found it great.

Ft Lauderdale

 

We have stayed many times pre and post cruise at the Embassy Suites. Close to the port. Close to the airport.

 

Harbor Shops next block -- lots of restaurants all around.
