dangerouslymoody Posted October 13, 2008 #1 Share Posted October 13, 2008 Hi! We are going to try to go one a cruise out of galveston in june 09 and was wondering what was the best/cheapest way to book...directly thru RC or elsewhere??
megr1125 Posted October 13, 2008 #2 Share Posted October 13, 2008 we can't mention TAs here...your best bet would be to shop around...use a local ta is you have one.... the rate should be the same regardless. it's just the incentives that different people give. There is a link at the top of the CC page with cruise agencies.....you could start there. if you use a TA, the cruise line basically will not speak to you about any issues you may have. you want to find out if they will honor price breaks, if they charge a cancellation fee, etc. hth
a-tx-brit Posted October 13, 2008 #3 Share Posted October 13, 2008 There are no RCCL ships out of Galveston during the summer! (Sure wish they would bring the Rhapsody back!).
bruce-r Posted October 13, 2008 #4 Share Posted October 13, 2008 For cruising with RCL, I booked directly with them so I'd retain control of the reservations. You can get the best of both by booking directly with RCL, then just before final payment is due, transfer your booking to a TA who offers "extras" like Onboard Credits, pre-paid gratuities, or free travel insurance. firefly333 Posted October 13, 2008 #5 Share Posted October 13, 2008 Hi! We are going to try to go one a cruise out of galveston in june 09 and was wondering what was the best/cheapest way to book...directly thru RC or elsewhere?? The last cruise is april 12th, then voyager spends the summer and fall in europer before it comes back. You are going to need to go earlier?? Or go on Carnival.
