Cell phone reception?

Does anyone know of a celluar company that covers the Caribbean & Mexico on past cruises I have seen people using their cell phones in different ports.

We rent our cell phones for travel from Planet Phone. I believe that it is [url]www.planetphone.com[/url]. You just tell them what countries you will be visiting and they program the phone accordingly. The phone is delivered the day before you leave, and they send you packaging to return the phone upon your return.

We have Cingular plan with no roaming charges and we did use it in the Caribbean. I'm sorry I can't remember which island though but the reception was pretty good! I confirmed that there would be no extra charge before we left the USA.

AT&T which is now part of Cingular with merged networks operates thoughout the caribbean and Mexico.
