Search Forum never seems to be operating.

Is It Just Me?

The search forum tool is always temporarily down when I need it. Am I supposed to notify someone when this happens? Disappointing, when I am looking forward to finding something.

You can still search a certain forum. If you go to the forum page you want to search in and click Search this forum. You still can use that.. However Advanced search does not work.

 

Also the main search across all forums doesn't work.. just individual forums.

Julie, global search has been down for some time and will probably be available when a few other issues are resolved.

The 'search thread' features works fine so you might use that as an option...

Use Google, just enter site:boards.cruisecritic.com after your search criteria. Works great.

If you search for a word or phrase that is too common it will not work.. it overloads the searching.

 

but the google method mentioned works well in that case.

The Search Forum tool works if you only use one or two words to search on, and as noted above, don't use common words.
