vickiw0318 Posted October 16, 2008 #1 Share Posted October 16, 2008 We scored 1700 for our upcoming Independence cruise. A friend decided he wanted to join us, so he's now booked in inside cabin 1671 fairly close to us. I've read enough reports that say that we probably won't experience much noise from the Windjammer in our location, but how about our friend. It looks like his cabin in pretty much under the bar area in the Windjammer. Has anyone stayed in one of the inside cabins along this corridor towards the aft of the ship. How much noise did you experience? Should I shift his cabin down to Deck 9? P.S. There's a bunch of white space showing on the deck plan behind the cabin. Any noise from whatever that is either? Thanks so much.
cb at sea Posted October 16, 2008 #2 Share Posted October 16, 2008 He won't have any undue noise from above. That white space--you'll notice it runs through the entire ship--it's for the ventilation, "smokestack", etc... Deck 10 is a primo deck. He'll be just fine! vickiw0318 Posted October 16, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted October 16, 2008 Yes, I've always noticed it on the deck plans, but since I've not personally stayed in an inside cabin, it was the first time I've stopped to wonder what it actually was. Doesn't say much for me, does it?
Tikibird Posted October 18, 2008 #4 Share Posted October 18, 2008 We have white space next to us, I chose that cabin specifically for that reason, figured it's one less noisy neighbor to worry about.
