Pictures from the Ship

My husband I are taking out first cruise in about a month. We are leaving our two girls behind with my parents.

I must admit I am a little nervous about being gone for so long with no contact, so we have elected to get some internet time to send e-mails. (We are not taking a laptop) My question is, is it possible to post pictures from our digital camera in the e-mails? Do we have access to a USB port in the onboard cafe. I understand the connection is slow as well, so will I just be frustrated? Anyone had any luck?

Thanks for any info.

Yeah, unfortunately, the computers in the internet lounges are basic. If you want to stay in touch, best bet is to take a laptop and use the wifi.

A lot of folks on our cruise last week took laptops onto shore...there's plenty of hotspots near the cruise facilities.

You could do it if you brought your laptop but the slow speed to unload a pic to an email on the ship would be frustrating however if you had your laptop, dumped your pics into and found a port internet cafe as someone mentioned the speed would HAVE to be faster! lol :D Good luck and have a great cruise! :)

Don't be nervous about leaving the kids--they are with the folks who raised YOU! They love your kids--they will be fine! Enjoy your time alone--all couples need to stop being "parents' once in a while, anddo the "couples" thing for a bit! It's fun and healthy!
