cyberrat67 Posted November 2, 2004 #1 Share Posted November 2, 2004 I personally was hoping for an upgrade, but I've already gotten my assignment (booked a GTY oceanview unobstructed, that's what I got) for the 12-03-04 Dawn...TA got the documents Friday, sent them out yesterday, so I'm thinking the chances of me getting an upgrade are somewhere between slim and none, and slim just left the building...any thoughts on my chances? That was my thought as well...I'll be happy with the cabin I have, but a balcony would be nice...we had a balcony on our first cruise last year...but figured we'd save some money and book the GTY oceanview and hope for an upgrade, but be happy with what we booked
bunky144 Posted November 5, 2004 #5 Share Posted November 5, 2004 My hubby and I were upgraded at check-in at the cruise port for our Alaska cruise in March, we booked an outside cabin and were given a balcony midship baja deck. We were soooooo pleased as we had booked balcony's before and had no choice on this cruise when we book they told us only outside cabins were available. Never give up hope! Enjoy you Cruise

Anne Check Travelocity and proceed as if booking the cruise and you can see what catagories are gone or on a guarantee status.Thats usually a good indicator.
