blond_wf_duhhh Posted October 22, 2008 #1 Share Posted October 22, 2008 This coming June I will be going on the Mariner of the Seas and I didn’t think to inquire with my travel agent yesterday the three different times that I talked to her but I figured I’d ask here before trying to give her a call tomorrow. Does anybody happen to know if the cruise line provides skates (at no additional charge, besides that of what we’ve paid for our cruise price) for the ice-skating rink as well as the in-line skate track, or do we need to bring this on board ourselves? Also, if they do provide them, any idea how much the rental fees are and for how long? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!!! cruisegirl1 Posted October 22, 2008 #2 Share Posted October 22, 2008 Skates are included at no extra charge. Enjoy M
Rare silentbob007 Posted October 22, 2008 #3 Share Posted October 22, 2008 They are provided free of charge. The ice rink is only open a few hours each day. Socks are required for both types of skates, and I think long pants are required for the ice rink.
SevenSeas1492 Posted October 22, 2008 #4 Share Posted October 22, 2008 The ice skates are provided free of charge; however, I, as well as others using them have found them to be uncomfortable. They are a very rigid plastic that can hurt your ankles. But, I wouldn't let that deter you from trying it. It was some of the most fun I had onboard! Sore ankles and all! scotts8826 Posted October 22, 2008 #5 Share Posted October 22, 2008 Can anyone confirm whether long pants are required? I would never have thought about taking long pants on a Caribbean cruise.
