Recommend Belize Scuba Operator Please!

Hi all,

My dh and I will be arriving in Belize on July 9 on Enchantment of the Seas. He is looking to dive there, after diving with Allison (hopefully) in Cozumel.

 

Can anyone recommend a good dive operator in Belize? The ship goes to Turneffe Atoll, and I've read there are other good places to dive in Belize.

 

Do you recommend using the ship's excursion? Does anyone know who they use?

The easy way is to just use the ship's excursion (however it's a bit pricey @ $160). For another option we've used SeaSport Belize with good results. http://www.seasportsbelize.com

Seasport Belize will only take you if you have 4 divers. They were less than cooperative with us when we asked if they would notify us if 2 other divers wanted to dive the day we were in Belize.

When my sons and husband went diving on Belize they used the ship excursion. We had difficulty finding a private dive operator that we were comfortable with and the ship's dive operator picked them up at the ship and delivered them back to the ship. There were absolutely no worries about missing the ship. Belize is the only port where they have gone with the ship dive excursion. We also love diving with Alison on Cozumel. Have Fun!!
