Rum Point & Blackbeard's Rum

We'll be in GC in January and would like to try the beach at Rum Point & also visit Blackbeards to check out their rums and rum cakes. Our cruise line (RCCL) doesn't offer these as excursions so we want to try these on our own. Has anyone done this? Also, does anyone know how far it is to Rum Point & Blackbeards from the cruise terminal?

Me too. I want to do this. We're there in Jan too. What ship? We're on Navigator.

We'll be on the Voyager. We've been to GC a few times and have already done Stingray City and the Jolly Roger pirate ship. We're looking for something different this trip. Doesn't seem to be too much info on Blackbeards or Rum Point though.

Rum Point is a 45 minute drive (each way) from the tender port, so your only way to get there is either to rent a car or to take one of the excursions that stops there.
