Tres Rios

We were on the Sea last Febuary and took the ship's tour to Tres Rios. This is the only ship's tour that we took and this was due to limited shore time and tendering.

In September I was on Carnival and we docked at Calaca and we were able to rent a taxi for the day and go to Xel-ha.

Tres Rios has a web site. I recommended visiting, it has cenote/fresh water snorkeling, beaches, kayaking, hammocks and add-on excursions to snorkel a reef/horseback riding/speed boats etc.

Safe, clean, and do-able for a day trip.

Not as much fun as Xel-ha which has a large lagoon for snorkeling and tubing. Xel-ha was a blast, too much to do in one day and an all inclusive price around 56.00 I think. Snorkeling was average...no real reef structure...but water and surroundings very beautiful. A lot of Kodak moments here!

Cancun would be much better served if the ships could dock and give us more shore time so that some of the sites further down the coast could be visited.
