Yes, you are right. The store (last I checked) was in Condado. Which is about 20 min taxi ride away from the dock.

The taxi should cost somewhere between $10.50 and $13.50 depending on which pier you are coming into.

Thanks for your help. I appreciate it.

I did a google search and it showed the Ashford address.

I think we'll stay in OSJ and shop at Coach, Polo etc :)

This is probably a silly question, but is the LV store duty free? My two LV purses would love a sibling! :D Saving the sales tax would be a lovely bonus...

You don't declare items purchased in Puerto Rico. It is not a part of you duty free exemption. When you complete the Customs form at the end of your cruise, you do not list those purchases.

Is your sales tax charged on clothing? In MA, we do not pay sales tax on regular clothing, only luxury items priced over (?), I think $700 per garment.

Our sales tax is on just about everything... yes, it is charged on clothes, all clothes, cheap and pricey. :-(

It is not charged on Taxi fares.

Samantha...Go to ebates.com and and click on eLUXURT.com for LV handbags. You pay shipping but no sales tax. If you go through ebates.com you get a 3% rebate. Nice website.:)

Hmmm I'll have to look at that! DH used eLuxury for one of my LVs (he's a very smart man :D) - 3% rebate would have been a nice little bonus. Thanks! :)
